Search entries
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Barber County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s terms and privacy policy control its handling of the query.
Messages
If you send an email or contact-form message, the information is kept as needed to respond and manage the exchange. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Standard server, analytics, or advertising systems may record routine technical details when a page loads:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device class and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring page or site, when supplied; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the site and support site or advertising functions. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although some features may then behave differently.
Reasons Data Is Used
- Operate the site and maintain performance;
- send search requests to the selected partner service;
- understand which pages visitors use;

Other Websites and Advertising
Links may lead to Barber County offices, Kansas courts, KDOC, federal locators, release-record sources, or private search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy terms govern its collection and use of data.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted advertisements. That cross-site processing occurs under the partner’s controls, not as a Barber County government function.

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use Contact Us to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, request correction of inaccurate data, ask for deletion, or object to certain processing. These choices do not alter an official Barber County, court, KDOC, BOP, or ICE record held by another entity.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with its new effective date.
